The Experience

This is the Beginning of Exciting New Opportunities!

The high school senior year is such a pivotal moment in your life. It's the turning point of your life. The one thing I strive to do is to create your high school senior session to show you and who you are in this moment in time. This is why I like to get to know you. What kinds of activities you are involved in? What is your personality? What are your hobbies? I also like to include these things into your session. If you play an instrument, if you love to read, if you love to play video games, if you are on the debate team. We can design your session around these things.

You have the choice of in-studio or out on location or both! We can do a little bit of everything! I also have a list of great options for locations as well. Many locations I have photographed at and some others that I have done extensive research.

Once you book your session with me, we will start to plan. You'll fill out a questionnaire that allows me to get to know you. I'll send you a Preparation Guide that will go over what to expect during your session and a guide on wardrobe with Dos and Don'ts. You'll pick out your outfits and if there are any props you want and send those to me so I can start designing your session.

At your session, I do require a parent or guardian to be present at your session if you are under the age of 18. However, we will all explore the location together. I always have ideas for great spots, but also always encourage any suggestions you may have.

The photos I create become legacy art for your family. But the experience of working together? That matters just as much, if not more!

The Process

1.

Say Hello!

The first step is to say hello of course! Fill out the contact form and we'll get things rolling.
Once you book with me (sign a contract and pay the retainer payment) your date is solidly booked! We'll get things going from there.

2.

Planning

We'll plan your session! We'll decide on the perfect location and date and time. Then you'll plan out your outfits and props and I'll get to planning and designing your session.

Your Session

It's so important to me that you are comfortable in front of the camera so instead of just pulling my camera right up in your face, we can talk a bit to get comfortable first then we'll get started on the photo part.
The lucky thing about booking me? There is no time limit. I really don't like to keep sessions to a time limit so we will go as long or as short as things flow. We will make sure we go through all of your outfit changes and get all the important shots. There is also such thing as portrait fatigue and you probably will start to get tired of constantly posing and smiling. Everyone is different so we'll just feel things out and see where it goes.

Post-Session

Once your session is done, we will schedule your viewing session for about 2 weeks after your session.

Viewing Session

At your viewing session, we will get together to go over all of your final images. It's a great time to bring your parents in and you can decide together which are your favorite images!
Your viewing session is also your purchase session. Generally most people have an idea of the collection they are leaning towards purchasing before their viewing session. This can give them an idea of what they are aiming for at their viewing session.
You'll choose which collection you are wanting (dependent on the number of images you would like) and I will put the order in.
